‘This is political bankruptcy’

DHAKA: BNP Joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday said it is a “political bankruptcy” of not giving permission to keep BRAC University Professor Piash Karim’s body at the Central Shaheed Minar.

The BNP leader made the remarks while paying tributes to Piash’s body at Baitul Aman Jame Masjid, adjacent of Pias’ residence, in Dhanmondi area of the city in the morning.

The BNP leader came up with the observation while talking to journalists at Baitul Aman Jame Masjid adjacent to late professor’s Dhanmondi residence in the morning.

He said, “The incumbent illegal government is not trying to understand the desires of the people. Piash Karim inspired people when the government even repressed them.”

Rizvi also claimed that Piash Karim has always talked in fever of justice.

The government misbehaved with Piash, claimed the BNP leader.
