NILPHAMARI: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will address a public rally in the district on Thursday demanding mid-term election under caretaker government.

The program will be held at town club premises in the afternoon.

On the other hand, local unit of BNP have taken all-out preparation to make the rally successful. They claimed that that the rally will be the biggest-ever public meeting of 20-party alliance.

However, Khaleda is going to Nilphamari as a part of her countrywide mass contact program to mobilize public support for the party’s movement protesting government’s oppression, corruption and crimes and demanding a mid-term general election.

Sources told banglanews that the BNP chief leave Dhaka for Nilphamari on Wednesday and will stay overnight in Bogra Circuit House on her way.

Nevertheless, banglanews correspondents Asad Zaman and Nur Alam, who are now in Nilphamari, said that local unit of BNP is now busy with their last minute preparatory work to welcome Khaleda.

When Banglanews Correspondents visited the rally venue in the morning witnessed that rally stage is being prepared.

Local BNP leaders expressed their hope that the stage will be completed by this afternoon.

They also hoped that around 10 lakh people will attend the rally.

The BNP chief will visit Natore on October 30 while Comilla on November 7 and Kishoreganj on November 12.
