Hanif advises Fakhrul for careful speech

DHAKA: Ruling Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif asked Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to deliver speech carefully.

He advised the BNP leader after a joint meeting at AL president Sheikh Hasina’s political office in city’s Dhanmondi area on Sunday evening.

The Awami League and its associate organizations participated at the meeting, chaired by AL presidium member and also AL deputy leader at the National Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, on Jail Killing Day on November 3.

Pointing to the BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the AL leader Hanif told the media that he (Fakhrul) should think first before delivering speech.

He also suggested that the BNP leader should see his and his party chief’s faces on mirror. He should understand their situation first and then comment to the media.

The AL leader further advised Fakhrul saying that the BNP leader should comment on the prime minister more carefully in future.

According to Hanif, the governments from all over the world have confidence and faith on the incumbent government in Bangladesh.

He also mentioned the recent achievements of the country in the international arena as proves of the other governments’ confidence to the Bangladesh government.

He also termed the hartal on Sunday for punishing Latif Siddique for his derogatory remarks on religion as a sign of conspiracy of the anti-liberation elements against the government.
