CHNDINA (COMILLA): The formalities of the marriage of Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque and Advocate Hanufa Akhter Rikta have started on Monday.

The formalities started by bridegroom’s sending of auspicious objects of ‘Gaye Holud’ to the bride Rikta’s house at Mirakhola village in Chandina upazila.

Bride’s family also will send the auspicious objects of ‘Gaye Holud’ to the bridegroom’s house at Chauddagram upazila on Tuesday.

The ‘Gaye Holud’ programme will be held at Jatiya Sangsad Convention House on Wednesday (October 29) in presence of the family members and close relatives of bride and bridegroom.

The marriage will be registered at Mirakhola village under Gollai union in Chandina upazila.

Both families have taken extensive preparations for the marriage.

Maternal cousin of bride Rikta, Lutfur Reza Khokon, also president of Comilla (north) District Jatiya Party, told banglanews that they have appointed two decorators from Comilla and Dhaka to complete the ceremony in a peaceful manner.

They have made three different pandals for VIP’s, for the best men and for all other people. “There will be no difference in the reception and quality of food,” he added.

Some 15-20 ministers including the deputy speaker of JS also are expected to be present in the ceremony.

Around 100 volunteers, law enforcers including Police and Ansar members will be deployed to ensure the security, sources said.

On the other hand,General Manager of  Comilla Palli Bidyut Samity-1 Nazrul Islam khan and Officer-in-Charge of Comilla Thana Golam Morshed visited the bride’s house at Mirakhola village.
