PABNA: Police in special drives detained a total of 67 people including 10 men of Jamaat-e-Islami and its students’ wing Islami Chhattra Shibir across the district Tuesday.

District superintendent of police (SP) Miraz Uddin Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The SP said, they were detained from different places of the district in several drive conducted till 9:00pm of the day; of them, 10 were identified as Jamaat-Shibir men.

The drives were carried out centering the verdict against Jamaat Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami in war crimes cases by International Crimes Tribunal-1, to be delivered anytime on Wednesday.
