DHAKA: Activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Shibir torched a passenger bus during hartal hours in city’s Kadamtali area on Thursday noon.

Police sources said a group of Jamaat-Shibir men brought out a sudden procession in the area and torched a passenger bus.

Two passengers of the bus were reportedly injured in the incident.

However, the injured were rushed to a local hospital. The pickets fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Kadamtali Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
