DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed mysterious the fire incident at BSEC (Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation building) Bhaban at city’s Karwan Bazar area Friday. 

He came up with this assertion while talking to the reporters after visiting the building around 3:55pm.

Mirza Fakhrul said another fire incident was happened in 2007. But the probe report of the incident has not been submitted yet which is mysterious.

“We can not say it was not the part of sabotage as the daily Amar Desh office is scheduled to shift on Saturday”, the BNP senior leader added.

He said Amar Desh and NTV have contribution in the path of democracy. 

The BNP leader also expressed hope that they will again take part in democracy and demanded proper investigation of the fire incident.

BNP's finance affairs secretary Abdus Salam and NTV chairman Mosaddak Ali Falu were present there.
