KHULNA: Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday announced that Khulna city would remain out of purview of hartal for Monday due to the second test cricket match between Bangladesh and visiting Zimbabwe.

City Jamaat unit Ameer Maulana Abu Kalam Azad made the announcement on Saturday evening.

On Wednesday, Jamaat called countrywide hartal for Thursday and Sunday and Monday protesting the verdict of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) that awarded death penalty to its Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami.
