DHAKA: Police in several night-long drives detained over 75 Jamaat-Shibir activists and recovered 24 bombs raiding in Pabna, Noakhali, Tangail and Feni districts till Sunday morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Special Branch of Pabna police Abdul Hannan said 45 Jamaat-Shibir men were arrested on charges of planning sabotage in 72-hour hartal.

Besides, police in special drives detained 27 men of Jamaat Chhatra Shibir across the district till Sunday morning. District SP Ilias Sharif confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Banglanews District Correspondent in Feni adds, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered 24 live crude bombs in Old Police Quarters area on Saturday night. District RAB camp’s assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Jasimuddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
