Hartal again on Thursday

DHAKA: Jamaat-e-Islami has called countrywide 24-hour hartal from Thursday morning protesting the death sentence to Mir Quasem Ali for war crimes.

Earlier in the day, International Crimes Tribunal-2 awarded death sentence to top financier of Jamaat and intellectuals’ killer Mir Quasem Ali for his crimes against humanity committed during the War of Independence in 1971.

A three-member judge panel of ICT-2 led by Justice Obaidul Hassan passed the order.
