AL man hacked dead in Laxmipur

LAXMIPUR: An activist of Juba League, affiliate of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League, was hacked to death in Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohan Patwari, 28, son of Hasan Ahmed Patwari, living in Gopinathpur village of the upazila.

Sources told banglanews that Mohan was a member of Juba League's South Hamchhadi Union committee under Sadar Upazila.

He was attacked near his home at around 10:45pm, sources added.

Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Parishad chairman, and also the joint convener of district Juba League committee, AKM Salahuddin Tipu said that miscreants left mohan’s body at a roadside place of that area.

Laxmipur Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter.
