DHAKA: Ruling Awami League secretary of publicity and publication Affairs Hasan Mahmood on Friday termed BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman as a precocious boy and coward.

Hasan Mahmood made the assertion in a press conference arranged at AL office at Dhanmondi protesting Tarique’s speech on Bangabandhu on Wednesday.

Terming the BNP leader as fugitive, terrorist, killer and patroniser of extremists, he said, “Tarique has been propagating false stories against the Liberation War of Bangladesh, about its leaders and the history.”

“His speeches are nothing but ravings of an alcoholic,” the AL leader alleged.

Hasan Mahmood also presented videos of BNP leader SQ Chowdhury, Oli Ahmed and Papia’s speeches evaluating Tarique Rahman.

AL organizing secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, office secretary Abdus SObhan Golap and deputy office secretary Mrinal Kanti Das, among others, were present in the function.
