BOGRA: Law enforcers, in separate drives in different upazilas from Thursday night to early Friday, arrested 18 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir in arson and vandalism cases.

Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of the district Ujjal Kumar Roy disclosed the matter through an SMS on Friday morning.

Of the detainees, District Sramik Kalyan Federation president Asgar Ali and Shahjahanpur Upazila unit Chhatra Shibir president Shahin Alam were included.
