No dialogue with BNP: Tofail

GAZIPUR: Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Sunday categorically said that there would be no dialogue with BNP whose hands are colored with the blood of martyrs.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the assertion while addressing a rally at Tongi on the occasion of 64th birthday anniversary of veteran freedom fighter, former lawmaker and Awami League leader late Ahsanullah Master.

He also said, “There won’t be any midterm election in the country. BNP has to wait till 2019 for the next general elections.”

Tofail Ahmed said that no talks can be held with them who killed AL leader Kibria, who plotted to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who conducted grenade attack on AL leader Ivy Rahman and 24 others and killed them.

President of Tongi Thana Awami League Mohammad Fazlul Haque chaired the program where Abdus Sobhan Golap, special assistant to the PM, Zahid Ahsan Rasel, MP for Gazipur-2 constituency, also son of Ahsanullah Master, also spoke.
