3 JCD leader suspended in city

DHAKA: The newly formed Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) central committee on Monday suspended three leaders of the rebel group.

The suspended leaders are former JCD vice-president Abu Syed, former organizing secretary Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokon and incumbent joint-secretary Gazi Redwan Haq Riaz.

Moreover, seven people were show-caused for the same reason.

They are Jabed Hasan, Tarun Dey, Tariqul Islam Titu, Munna, Babu and Nahid.

JSD office secretary Abdus Sattar Patwari confirmed the matter.

Earlier on October 14, the committee, consisting of 201 members, was formed making Rajib Ahsan as president and Akramul Hasan as general secretary.

The post-deprived leaders gave ‘no confidence’ to the committee from the very beginning of its formation.
