DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against Krishak Sramik Janata League president Abdul Quader Siddique on a defamation case.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh issued the arrest warrant as he failed to appear before the court for long time in the case.

The court earlier summoned against him asking to appear at the court in the day.

Ruhul Amin Majumdar, a freedom fighter, filed the case against Quader Siddique on February 19 last year for calling former Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir Alamgir ‘Razakar’.
