DHAKA: A speedy trial tribunal on Thursday framed charge against 89 BNP leaders and activists, including joint secretary general Amanullah Aman and former Chhatra Dal president Sulatan Salauddin Tuku.

Judge of the tribunal Nazmul Haque Shyamol in the morning passed the order of charge framing against the indicted.

The tribunal framed the charge in two cases for vandalism and arson on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Aminbazar and Tetuljhara areas on December 9, 2012.

The first date of recording testimonies of the cases, according to the sources, is set to January 5.
