SYLHET: The counselors of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) declared a 15-day fresh program protesting the inclusion of their Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdury’s name in charge-sheet of former finance minister AMS Kibria murder case.

City Development Committee Chairman Farhad Chowdhury Shamim, also counselor of the city corporation, made the announcement in a press conference.

The press conference was arranged at Nagar Bhaban protesting the harassment of SCC mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury.

He told the journalist the program would include exchanging opinions with people of all walks of life, collecting mass signatures, symbolic work abstention, human-chain, mass rally and sending memoranda to the President, Prime Minister, finance minister, state minister for home affairs and to other higher officials.

However, Shamim did not announce the date of the program to begin.
