Fakhrul urges to wage movement

DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday urged people to wage tougher movement for restoring democracy and protecting sovereignty of the country.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the plea while a addressing a meeting at the National Press Club.

Mirza Fakhrul also termed this government illegal and undemocratic. “Democracy is not safe in the regime of the government,” he told his audience.

He also asked the people to raise their voice under the leadership of BNP chief Khaleda Zia for the sake of democracy.

Fakhrul also said the recent speech of Awami Leader HT Imam proved that the ruling party AL illegally grabbed the power.

HT Imam tried to save him from the controversy holding a press conference but the people have understood his artifice.

He also claimed that Awami League tried to destroy democracy immediate after the liberation war. However, the people of the country saved democracy then.
