DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday said the strong determination and leadership of BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman is inspiring nationalist forces against the misrule of government.

The spokesperson for the party made the observation in a statement sent to the media on the occasion of Tarique’s 49th birthday anniversary.

Conveying the birthday wish to Tarique, Fakhrul said, “The country’s welfare will take place if youths of the grassroots are involved in development and production being inspired by nationalist politics.”

Tarique, who believes on this ideology, has been visited village to village (to spread his belief), he added.

Fakhrul claimed that Tarique brought life to the grassroots by overcoming long-lasted impasse.

Awamil League government tried to restrain Tarique by filing lawsuits one after another but they (government) did not even make him feeble at all, he added.
