NATORE: Miscreants chopped dead a Swechhasebok League leader in Kachua village under Lalpur upazila on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ashraf Ali, 40, son of one Boyes Ali, hailed from Bilsolia village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Lalpur Thana Abdul Hye Talukder told banglanews, on information from locals; police recovered the body of Ashraf Ali from Kachua Bazar area around 8:00am.

He further said police sent the body to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Lalpur upazila Awami League genera secretary Isahaque Ali blamed local BNP for the murder.
