DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and also ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy cannot be compared with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, commented BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas.

The BNP leader came up with the observation while addressing a discussion on the agricultural development in the country.

Ziaur Rahman Foundation organized the program to mark the 50th birthday of Tarique Rahman.

Abbas said Tarique adapted the idea of ‘Digital Bangladesh’ prior to Joy.

He further said that Tareque’s father Ziaur Rahman proclaimed Bangladesh’s independence and was also a president. Tarique’s mother was a three-time premier of the country.

So, Joy cannot be compared with Tarique Rahman, the BNP leader remarked.

He also vowed that Tarique would be brought back in the country through movements.
