‘BNP turning into Muslim League’

DHAKA: Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu remarked that BNP is turning into Muslim League day by day as they are being vanished from the history for supporting Jamaat-e-Islami like the Muslim League.

The minister came up with this assertion while speaking as chief guest in a discussion on memorial of Bhasha Soinik Mohammad Toaha organized by Bangladesh Communist Party at city’s BMA Bhaban Auditorium on Friday.

He said BNP’s Ziaur Rahman gave opportunity to Jamaat-e-Islami to join in politics. Otherwise, their name would be erased from this country.

The BNP kept the Razakars’ behind the scene from 80th century to 2001 and then they stood against the people being collaborated with Jamaat, he added.

Citing that Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia are not same, Inu said Khaleda stood for the war crimes accused while Hasina is working for their trial.

Bangladesh Communist Party general secretary Comrade Dilip Barua chaired the discussion where writer, researcher and intellectual Sayed Abul Masud, Dhaka University professor Mesbah Kamal of History department, among others, were present.
