DHAKA: US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal held a meeting with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Friday evening.

The meeting started at Khaleda’s Gulshan political office in the city at 6:05pm and continued till 7:15pm.

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan Mozena accompanied Nisha Desai. On the other hand, senior BNP leaders including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present there.

Khaleda’s Media Wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Nisha Desai arrived in Dhaka on Thursday evening as a part of her Asia and Europe tour.

She has started the journey from November 23 and will continue till December 5 to visit India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and Switzerland.
