COMILLA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said ruling Awami League (AL) and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have realized that there is no soil beneath their feet.

“AL wants thwart the movement of BNP by suing and attacking on BNP leaders and activists and making people foolish,” he said.

The BNP leader was addressing a rally organized by the 20-party alliance at Town Hall ground of the district in the afternoon.

Fakhrul said a lot of cases have been filed against thousands of BNP leaders and activists, including Khaleda and Tarique Rahman.

The government cannot halt BNP’s movement by filing case, he also told his audience.

AL’s evil attempt to stay in power forcefully will not succeed as the people have raised their voices, he claimed.
