NARAYANGANJ: At least 10 Awami League men were injured in a clash between two groups in Fatullah of Narayanganj Sadar upazila on Tuesday.
The injured--Shamim, Harun, Muslim, Raju, Sumon and Munna—were rushed to local hospitals.
Sources told banglanews that the clash took place in the afternoon.
However, following the clash, vehicles plying on Dhaka-Narayanganj-Munshiganj road halted for half an hour.
According to the locals and witnesses, two groups of the ruling party, led by Narayanganj’s Kashipur Union Juba League unit secretary Shamim Ahmed and Ward 2 Awami League president of the same union Minnat Ali, locked into the clash in Fatullah over a land dispute that left 10 people injured.
Fatullah Model Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahangir said later, police took the situation under control.
