NARAYANGANJ: Ameer of Hefajat-e-Islam Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi, also chairman of Bangladesh Qawmi Madrasah Education Board, is scheduled to visit Narayanganj on Sunday (December 28).

He is likely to attend in a scholarship providing ceremony to the bright madrasa students of the district and an Islamic conference at central Eidgah Maidan of the district on the day.

Local unit of the Islamist group, Hefajat-e-Islam Bangladesh, is in an enthusiastic mood centering the program.

A preparation meeting regarding the day was held on Monday at Amlapara Madrasa of Narayanganj where local Hefazat leaders were present.

One of the organizers Maulana Ferdous Rahman said the preparations are being taken to make Allama Shafi’s visit a success.

A huge number of devotees are expected to be present in the Islamic conference, he added.
