Shahjahan Khan sued

DHAKA: A defamation case has been filed against Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan for his derogatory remark on BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman.

Joint secretary of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum, a wing of BNP, Advocate Shamim Kabir Chowdhury filed the case with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Court on Tuesday morning.

The case statement reads that in a meeting on December 19 at Madaripur Circuit House, the minister termed Tarique Rahman mad, black-ship and characterless.
