DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday rejected the defamation case filed against Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, also ruling Awami League leader.
Metropolitan Magistrate Maruf Hossain passed the order at noon.
Earlier in the morning, magistrate Maruf Hossain took statement of joint general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum Dhaka Unit Advocate Shamim Kabir.
Advocate Shamim Kabir filed the defamation case against the minister in the morning for calling BNP Senior Vice-Chairman mad, crazy and depraved on December 19 while talking to journalists at Madaripur circuit house.
