BHOLA: At least 30 people were injured during a clash between two groups of Monpura upazila Awami League over establishing supremacy on Wednesday morning.

Sources said that the Tri-Annual Conference of upazila Awami League was scheduled to be held on Wednesday after about 10 years.

Supporters of general secretary candidates Jakir Hossain and Shahriar Dipak Chowdhury locked into sporadic clashes from 9:15am to 10:00am, leaving 30 injured.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Assistant Police Super Mahafuzur Rahman said, on information police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control opening some blank fires.
