GAZUIPUR: District administration on Friday may impose Section 144 in Bhawal Badre Alam Government College field and adjoining areas to ban any kind of gathering there, said sources concerned.

The district’s law and disciplinary committee are set to hold an internal-meeting at the Circuit House at 11:00am to fix the necessary measures and whether a ban would be imposed there, added the sources.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Awami League’s student wing Chhattra League have separately called rallies on the college ground at the same time – 3:00pn on Saturday, raising tension across the country.

The committee will take decision considering the prevailing situations.
