DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared his firm determination to hold the pre-scheduled rally of Khaleda Zia in Gazipur on December 27.

He was addressing a press conference at BNP chairpersin’s Gulshan office on Friday morning.

Fakhrul said, “Gazipur rally will be held at any cost, we will join it.”

Considering the ongoing situation in Gazipur, the country has seemingly no government, Fakhrul opined.

On the other hand, police detained 16 people in the district following tension prevailing as BNP and local Chhatra League, student wing of Awami League, convened rallies on December 27 at the same venue.
