Injured JCD man’s operation in afternoon

DHAKA: Chhatra Dal activist Kawser Hossain, 35, regained consciousness on Saturday after he had been critically injured in Bakshibazar clash on December 24 and undergoing treatment at a Mohakhali hospital. 

Hospital sources said doctors will conduct a surgical operation of the activist of Titumir College unit of JCD on Sunday afternoon. 

Doctors said both of his hands were broken but denied to make any comment about the condition of his eyes. 

Chhatra Dal and victims family members confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday night. Banglanews also got the address of the hospital but did not disclose for victim’s security concern.

On December 24, Bakshibazar turned into a battle ground after a clash ensued between Chhatra League men and JCD men centering BNP chief Khaleda Zia appearance before court in Zia trust Graft cases, injuring 45 people, including Kawser.

Chhatra Dal’s central unit office secretary Abdus Sattar Patwari told banglanews that Kawser was also made accused in the Bakshibazar case.
