DHAKA: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet the opposition leader Rowshan Ershad at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in city on Monday morning.

Wang Yi arrived in Dhaka on Saturday on a three-day visit at the invitation of his Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmood Ali.

The Chinese minister had a meeting with Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Sunday.

Diplomatic sources said the two countries discussed joint programmes to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China in 2015.

During Wang Yi visit, the progress on MoUs, agreements and Letters of Exchange signed between the two countries during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to China in June this year was also discussed. Talks about various bilateral issues took placed in the meeting.

Apart form this; the Chinese FM will call on President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina.
