DHAKA: A court Sunday deferred the hearing of charge framing against 23 Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leaders and activists including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir until January 20 next year.
They are accused of vandalism and arson.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tarique Moinul Islam Bhuiyan passed the order on Sunday after the hearing.
However, 10 accused including Fakhrul and Barrister Moudud Ahmed were present during the hearing.
Earlier, the case was filed for vandalism and arson in front of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College on Bailey Road in city on March 2, 2013, during a BNP-led agitation program.
