NOAKHALI: A female school teacher was killed as a brick hit her in Noakhali while she was returning home during first hours of hartal of 20-party alliance on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Shamsunnahar, 35, teacher of Tawhid Laboratory School in Dhaka. She hailed from Ramgoti upazila of Laxmipur.

A brick from picketers hurt the school teacher to death on the street, confirmed district Police Super Elias Sharif.

Her body was taken to Noakhali Medical College Hospital.
