DHAKA: Chhatra Dal activists blasted four cocktails in BIRDEM lane at Segunbagicha in the capital on Monday.

Witnesses said some 10-12 activists of Chhatra Dal brought out a procession in the area and blasted the cocktails at 10:30am.

However, police could not arrest any of the picketers. But, additional police were deployed in the area to avert any subversive act.

The BNP-led 20 party alliance are observing dawn to dusk hartal protesting the restrictions on Gazipur rally where BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was scheduled to address and arrest of BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal.
