DHAKA: Former state minster for housing and public works Abdul Mannan Khan was sued for demeaning Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman damaging his photo and trampled it.
 
President of Jananetri Parishad AB Siddiqui on Monday filed the case with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

Judicial Magistrate Shirin Akter recorded the statement of plaintiff and kept its decision pending.

Local MP Salma Islam was made witness in the case.

As per the case statement, Abdul Mannan Khan along with supporters damaged banner, poster attached with the image of Bangabandhu and trampled those at a reception accorded to Freedom Fighters in Dohar upazila of the district on December 16.
