DHAKA: State minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal Friday said that BNP will not let to hold rally on January 5 if sabotage alarm remained.
He said “We will think about the issue of giving permission to the party to hold the rally if the matter of sabotage is not feared.”
The junior minister came up with the comment after inauguration of the four-day long 8th Hajj and Umrah Fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Center at 11:30am organized by Hajj Agency Association of Bangladesh (HAAB).
He told reporters, “The rally is scheduled to be held after three days. The matter is now under consideration. If we receive any sabotage alarm BNP will no longer be allowed to hold the rally.”
Asked BNP’s announcement of holding January 5 rally at any cost is a threat to law and order, the junior home boss refused to make any comment.
Earlier, BNP announced protest rallies and procession with black flags across the country on the day, terming January 5 as 'Democracy Murder Day'.
