DHAKA: Gono Forum president, also constitution maker Dr Kamal Hossain said he will write to the Chief Justice to stop irregularities in court after investigation.
He came up with this assertion in a discussion titled ‘43rd Victory Day and Human Rights Situation of Bangladesh’ organized by Bangladesh Human Rights Observation Association on Friday.
Dr Kamal said “The court has 150-year tradition and it also achieved goodwill for their activities. If we can not protect the court and we can not get justice against the government, our independence will turn valueless.”
He also said “I will go to the court when it will be open on January 5. Besides, I will attend all the hearing of contempt of court. Because, those who indulging the contempt of court is also another crime.”
The constitution maker also expected that the chief justice will reply to the letter.
In regard of human rights, he said the people have the power, so they should not feel as helpless. They have to protect the country from the irregularities including the incident of Zihad.
However, the state lost their humanity that detached the people from the government.
Bangladesh Human Rights Observation Association chairman M Nurul Huda Milu presided over the program where ex-MP Golam Mowla Roni, Barrister Major (retd) Sarwar Hossain, among others, were present.
