DHAKA: The leaders of pro-BNP lawyers’ platform Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (JAF), UK unit are apparently disobeying the orders of BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman on formation of a full committee of JAP.
Tarique, also elder son of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, asked the leaders of convening committee of the JAF to hold a council within December 30, 2014 to form a full committee, which they ignored.
Earlier, Tarique ordered the convening committee after its formation on November 13.
Meanwhile, JAF leaders made no arrangement of holding the council while Tarique’s deadline has already been passed as the New Year began on Thursday.
Party sources told banglanews that the convening committee has not begun any process of council arrangement yet.
Pro-BNP lawyers surprised noticing the negligence of JAF’s convening committee in holding the council and disappoints prevailed among them, said a competent source.
On November 13, JAF formed a nine-member convening committee making Barrister Engineer M Tariq Bin Aziz and Barrister Biplob Poddar convener and member secretary respectively.
Tarique was present in person at the function where he asked the newly-formed committee to take necessary arrangements to hold a council within December 30, 2014 and form a full committee.
Two moths has passed since then, the committee did nothing mentionable, held no big programs and did not manage to increase its members, let alone hold the council.
This committee’s failure and negligence of BNP’s second-in-command Tarique’s order is no longer acceptable, claimed the leaders.
