DHAKA: BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to address a discussion meeting in London over January 5 national elections.
The BNP leader will address the discussion meeting titled ‘Democracy Murder Day’ in the Atrium London Auditorium around 6:00pm (London local time) on January 4.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s press wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier in March last year, Tarique termed his father Ziaur Rahman the ‘First President of Bangladesh’ and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ‘illegal prime minister’.
On December 15, at a Victory Day program in London Tarique called Bangabandhu a ‘razakar’, a term used to describe those who collaborated with the Pakistani army during the 1971 Liberation War.
