DHAKA: Top BNP leaders went into hiding as police raided their residences on Saturday night ahead of January-5 rally.

Meanwhile, huge number of law enforcers cordoned the Gulshan office of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia where she has been under high surveillance since Saturday midnight.

Police men want to guide Khaleda up to her nearby Gulshan residence while Khaleda wanted not to move. She is literally house arrested at her office, claims her press secretary Shimul Biswas.

Meanwhile a group of police from detective branch have picked  BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed from the party's central office in Naya Paltan Saturday midnight. Sources said Rizvi was taken to a city hospital, but it could not be confirmed from any official source.
