DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) Police took BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi to hospital after he fell sick at Naya Paltan central office on Saturday mid night.

Duty manager of Apollo Hospitals confirmed that Rizvi has been taken to there for treatment.

Besides, police locked up the central office pulling out all leaders and activists, and employees.

Additional law enforcers including plain clothed police have been deployed in the area to avert any untoward situation.

In the meantime, huge numbers of law enforcers have cordoned the Gulshan office of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia where she has been under high surveillance since midnight.
