DHAKA: Police recovered 22 petrol bombs from Swamibagh area of city’s Gendaria area in an abandoned condition on Monday morning.

Confirming the matter, Gendaria thana duty officer Shafiqul Islam told banglanews that on information, a team of police rushed to the Munshir Tek area around 6:45am and recovered the bombs from road adjacent to a one-storey house there.

The matter is being investigated, he added.

Police suspected that the petrol bombs might have been kept there to carry out subversive activities.
