DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Monday said Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia is free to move anywhere in spite of having tight security.
“It depends on her (Khaleda) whether she will move or not. But she must be aware about the risk on her way,” he said.
The state minister made the assertion while talking to journalists at secretariat in the city.
Regarding the trucks with sand placed in front of Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office, he said that the trucks have been kept there so that people cannot go to the place.
Replying to a question, he said that the BNP chief can go to her party’s central office at Nayapaltan if there is no risk on her way.
He further said that police commissioner knows whether Khaleda Zia would be allowed to move or not.
In response to another question on Gulshan office gate lock, the minister said that he does not know who did this as he did not get any official report regarding the matter.
