Writ filed not to broadcast Tarique’s speech Tarique Rahman

DHAKA: A writ has been filed with High Court seeking its directive to media of the country not to broadcast or publish any speech of BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman.

Supreme Court lawyer Nasrin Siddique Lina filed the writ petition in the High Court on Tuesday.

Tarique Rahman, information ministry, media and people concerned were made responders to the writ.

Advocate Sanjida Khanam MP will move for the petitioner.

She said the hearing might be held in the HC bench of justices Kazi Rezaul Haque and Abu Taher M Saifur Rahman on Wednesday.  

Petitioner Nasrin Siddique told banglanews: “The media cannot broadcast or publish any speech of a fugitive person. So, I filed the writ petition seeking HC’s directive in this regards.”
