In Sylhet, police detained 23 leaders and activists of BNP and its front originations in citywide drives from Monday late night to Tuesday morning.

In Tangail, police detained 3 activists of BNP’s student front Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Tarutia area in Sadar upazila of the district around 11:30am on Tuesday moments after an auto-rickshaw was torched there.
