JESSORE: A sleeping helper was burnt severely as BNP-Jamaat activists set fire to a bus at 3:30am Wednesday at Khajura bus stand in district town.

The helper named Murad, 20, was rushed to Jessore General Hospital after police rescued him from the burning bus.

Doctor Kajal Kanti Mollick said half of the body of Murad has been burnt.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Thana Inamul Haq said Murad was sleeping when BNP-Jamaat men torched the bus.

On information fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire while police rushed Murad to hospital, he added.
