DHAKA: Police once again locked BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office early Sunday.

Police locked the main gate of the office at 12:40am, sources of Khaleda’s press wing confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Along with several party leaders and her media wing’s members, Khaleda has been staying inside her office since government deployed a large numbers of lawpersons outside the office on January 3.

Khaleda tried several times to come out of the office but failed in face of police’s barrier. Lawpersons also put the office’s main gate under lock and key several times, which BNP men alleged that government kept their leader confined.

Protesting the ‘confinement’, Khaleda called nationwide road-rail-waterway blockade for indefinite period that started from January 4.
